Watch out for 2009 Boro Day Event in USA!!!

2009 will be the 19th Boro Day/INAA Service Award Ceremony

Who we are...

The Ijaw National Alliance of the Americas (INAA) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 1995 and formally inaugurated on September 5, 1998. Through the efforts of a collection of Greater Ijaw ethnic peoples resident in the northeast of the United States, INAA was founded with the primary aim of encouraging Ijaw welfare.

Our mission is to promote unity and encourage the economic and socio-cultural advancement of the Ijaw.

Our Motto...

Service...
The need for selfless service to advance the cause and realize our collective goal as Ijaws.

Devotion...
The need to be dedicated to the Ijaw struggle through dedication to one another as members of a family.

Accountability...
The need to be responsible for our decisions and actions which should be explained when asked. We believe that true democracy is absent without accountability as an element of checks-and-balances.

Our internal structure and organization...

Executive committee made up of the President,Vice President, General Secretary, Deputy General Secretary, Public Relations Officer, Treasurer and Financial Secretary.

We have a bank account and have applied for IRS 501-C3(tax-exempt) status.

We have a constitution which is reviewed periodically.

We meet at every quarter (four times a year).

Each member pays quarterly dues.

Membership is open to all Ijaw sons and daughters by birth or marriage, residing in the United States.
