Fellow INAA Members/Ijaws:

This to inform you that the INAA Annual Picnic will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2003 from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm at the Mohegan Park in Norwich, CT. Directions to Mohegan Park are enclosed, and please be prompt.

INAA sponsors the annual picnic in order to bring together members and other Ijaw families, particularly our children, to interact socially. So please bring your families to meet other Ijaw families. Unlike previous years, the organization shall spend limited amount for the picnic because of financial constraints. You are, therefore, encouraged to bring as much as you can (hamburger, chicken, beer, soda, etc). Please call Paulette Ebiware (413-743-5454), who is the coordinator of the picnic, to inform her of what you plan to bring.

Mohegan Park has facilities for several recreational activities including swimming, basketball, swings, and hiking. There is also a large lake (pond) for fishing so come prepared with your hooks to fish.

Note: If it rains on Saturday July 12, 2003, the picnic will be held on the following Saturday, July 19, 2003.

DIRECTIONS TO MOHEGAN PARK, NORWICH, CT

From New York.

Take I-95N to I-395N (At Exit 76 on I-95N, left-hand exit).

Exit on Exit 81 (about 13 miles) to Route 2E.

Stay in middle lane at the end of Highway at Stoplight (about 1 mile).

Drive straight to Route 169N towards Taftville. (You will see signs to Mohegan Park/Three River Community College at light.)

Turn Right at 1st light.

Drive straight into Park (about 0.5 miles).

INAA picnic area will be at the NorthWest corner of the park.

From Boston:

Take I-90W (Mass Pike)

Exit at I-395S exit (To Norwich)

Exit on Exit 81 (Norwich, Route 2 East).

Follow Directions from #3 above.
