IJAW NATIONAL ALLIANCE OF THE AMERICAS (INAA)
 
(2011 "Boro Day" Summit and 14th Annual "Service & Devotion" Award Ceremony)
 
This is an update of the "Boro Day" Summit commencing Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26, 2011 at the Sheraton Newark Airport Hotel, Newark, New Jersey. U.S.A.
 
(1) HOTEL RESERVATION:
The block of rooms reserved are sold out but good luck never comes too late, they say. So call the hotel at (973) 690-5500. Those lucky may get rooms with only "King Size" beds. The discount rate for INAA guests is $89.00 per night. Information about near-by hotels is posted on INAA website: http://ijaw-naa.org/boroday/hotels2011.php
 
(2) FORMAL REGISTRATION:
Each guest is required to register by visiting INAA website and selecting menu of his/her choice. The website address is: http://ijaw-naa.org/boroday/home.htm  Having guests duly registered would enable an accurate count necessary to provide the required efficient service and also meet hotel regulations. Guests who do not register may not be admitted into the sessions.
 
(3) NIGERIAN CONSULATE, N.Y., ISSUANCE OF NIGERIAN E-PASSPORTS:
Officials of the Nigerian Consulate will be at Sheraton Hotel  from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 to issue e-passports to Nigerians who may need Nigerian e-passports. The following are the basic guidelines provided by the Consulate:
 
1. Apply on-line  at https//portal.immigration.gov.ng/index.htm. After filling out the application form,  click "Print Form", Sign and Date your application.  Therafter, click "Submit Application" and write down your Application ID#  and Reference #.
 
2. Go to SW Global LLC at https://www.swgloballlc.com/ and log on to Google\Gmail\Yahoo Account. You may use credit card to pay $65.00 application fee when you click the "Proceed to online Payment". If the procedures are carefully followed and applicant is successful, a "Confirmation\Order#' page will appear for applicant to print out. And Receipt for the application fee is sent to applicant after a 24 to 48 hours' waiting period.
 
3. An additional $50.00 on-site application procesing fee will be charged when applicant arrives at the venue. It must be a Money Order made payable to "Consulate-General of Nigeria-NY." Applicant will be required to present the $65.00 receipt from SW Global LLC acknowledging the successful on-line application and payment. Also, adult applicants are required to present their current or expired Nigerian passports or picture page of MRP passport. Minors who have never had a Nigerian passport are required to show original Birth Certificates and parent's name must appear on the minor's Birth Certificate.  
 
 (4) EXCLUSIVE PAN-IJAW SESSIONS:  
There will be two sessions--one on Saturday and the other on Sunday. The Saturday session will start promptly at 9:00 a.m.  and the session on Sunday will start at 10:00 a.m. Being punctual will enable us to be on schedule and have an effective dialogue.
 
(5) OFFICIAL INAA GUESTS:
The category of guests classified as "official" are those for whom INAA has reserved rooms and, therefore, bear some financial responsibility for their accommodation. That is why they are expected to notify INAA about their flight schedules. Some of these guests include those from Nigeria, Europe, Canada and the Caribbeans.

.: Reception/Ice-breaker & Informal Meeting/Social.
b. Saturday, June 25--
    9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m
.: Exclusive Pan-Ijaw Session I
    1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m: Workshops/Presentations.
   4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.: Inter-denominational Prayer Service & Thanksgiving.
    6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.: "Service & Devotion" Award Ceremony.
    7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Keynote Address
    8:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.: Dinner/Social
c. Sunday, June 26--
    10:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m.:
Exclusive Pan-Ijaw Session II
    (There will be caucuses and working committees)
